Dr. Peoples is a licensed psychologist who graduated from the University of Missouri - Kansas City with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in counseling psychology. Her dissertation is entitled, “Program and Personal Factors as Predictors of Spiritual Competence.” She currently specializes in forensic psychology and is skilled in diagnostic assessment.

Dr. Peoples is an ordained minister who has been sought out by numerous church organizations to train their congregants on topics such as mental health awareness, destigmatizing mental health within a Christian framework, and how to integrate trauma-informed practices among congregations.

As a highly engaging speaker, teacher, and writer, she is a known expert who uses psychological and spiritual concepts to better understand human functioning and resolve everyday challenges.
